This year the Cicero Community Festival was
marking its 21st Year!
Also the theme for the festival was
"CICERO GOES BROADWAY"
theme was throughout the festival and parade...
People had a chance to win a trip for two to see a Broadway Show, hotel accommodations, and transportation on Amtrak - courtesy of AAA Travel.
There were also runner prizes
including overnight accommodations for 2 in a Jacuzzi Suite
at Comfort Suites in Cicero with a gift certificate to Borios Restaurant
along with additional gift certificates to Borios Restaurant and Limp Lizard.
Proceeds benefited the Multiple Sclerosis Resources of. Central New York.
The Grand Marshal of the parade this year was Dave Longley from NewsChannel 9 WSYR. Dave is the Chief Meteorologist at NewsChannel 9 and lives in Cicero. Dave was honored at the festival.
Each day there was Entertainment! Friday night Ruby Shooz
"The Hottest Band on the Planet" performed on Saturday night
with Latizia and the Z Band. The MC was Amy Robbins of 93Q.
Saturday festivities kicked off at 12noon with the AmeriCU "Cicero Goes Broadway" Community Parade. The schedule
included the Cicero Community Craft & Business Show, and the Star Search competition from 3pm to 5pm. There's
the fun zone for the kids, along with martial arts and karate demonstrations.
In the evening there was the Price Chopper Fireworks!
Festival admission was free on Saturday.
New this year was a Festival Midway with rides & games! Plus there were pony rides for the little kids!
Also there was a variety of non-food and food vendors on both days
